Founded in 1874, YORK® has been an industry leader since the beginning. A revolutionary YORK® "air washing" system installed in 1914 was the precursor to modern-day air conditioning. In 1924, the world’s first air-conditioned office building used YORK® equipment. And today, YORK® products are heating and cooling some of the world's most iconic structures, including the Empire State Building, the English Chunnel, the U.S. Capitol Building and the Sydney Opera House.

Meet Adam

Adam is an automated machine operator at our Norman, Oklahoma, factory who exemplifies the YORK® commitment to American quality. Cleaning and testing his machine each shift before the first piece is produced, Adam ensures consistent results. But Adam brings more than a good process. He knows he’s making a difference by being 100% committed to exceeding the expectations of YORK® customers.

Meet Chris

Chris is a senior test technician in our Wichita factory — but that job title doesn’t completely describe what he does for the YORK® team. His pride at work comes from knowing he’s one of the first to see new designs in production, assuring quality and reviewing testing procedures. Meet Vicki

Vicki is the plant manager in our Norman, Oklahoma, factory. A second-generation employee, YORK® has been a part of Vicki’s family her whole life. Her mother has worked at the factory for 45 years, and Vicki started her successful career with YORK® as a temporary employee during the summer. Deeply involved in the local Norman community, Vicki recognizes the impact YORK® has in her hometown. She sees her role at YORK® as fundamental to meeting customer expectations and empowering her team to make an impact, every day.
